Problem Solution

PROBLEM

Papua New Guinea faces intertwined challenges in literacy and health that significantly impact its development. Geographic isolation and inadequate infrastructure limit access to education and healthcare, particularly in rural areas. The shortage of trained teachers and healthcare professionals, combined with poverty, gender inequality, and linguistic diversity, hinders progress.

High dropout rates, adult illiteracy, and limited access to resources exacerbate literacy struggles, while malnutrition, preventable diseases, and poor healthcare facilities affect overall well-being. Natural disasters and insufficient government funding further disrupt services. Addressing these challenges requires integrated efforts to improve access, quality, and equity in both education and health systems.

SOLUTION

The Chow Foundation aims to address literacy and health challenges in Papua New Guinea by focusing on early childhood education and community well-being. The Chow Foundation aims to empower the next generation through initiatives that improve access to quality education and promote health awareness.

Our efforts include supporting schools with resources, advocating for inclusive learning, and fostering partnerships to enhance healthcare access and services. By investing in education and health, the Chow Foundation strives to create sustainable solutions that uplift communities and build a brighter future for PNG.
